Fundamental Physics at Low Energies
Joerg Jaeckel
Abstract:
These lectures present an overview of the opportunities for exploring fundamental physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) with low energy experiments. We discuss a variety of popular benchmark models, focussing in particular on the three 'portals' to new physics: kinetic mixing, the Higgs portal and the neutrino portal, but we also discuss other well motivated extensions of the SM such as, e.g. axions. The new particles arising in these models lead to novel, observable effects that can be tested in experiments.
