Homepage of Prof. S.P. Klevansky

Greetings from Heidelberg, one of the prettiest cities in Germany with many institutes of physics in our department.

I am a member of the Institute of Theoretical Physics but can best be found in the Physikalisches Institut in Neuenheimer Feld, as I run the Heidelberg Graduate School of Fundamental Physics and the Department of Physics as a whole.

Scientifically I have been interested in models of Quantum Chromodynamics and Chiral Phase Transitions. So I like field theory and quantum mechanics.

Recently I have done more work in the field of PT-symmetric quantum mechanics. It is exciting to realize that our common everyday views of quantum mechanics can be challenged! If you are interested in the subject and are a student in Heidelberg, feel free to contact me.

This figure shows the phase diagram for a system of three coupled partially PT-symmetric oscillators. The coloured regions depict regions of unbroken symmetry.
