From Reutlingen to Space

Abstract:

In our everyday life we make use of sensors, you can find them in many consumer electronic devices such as e.g. smart phones, wearables or gaming consoles. But how do they work and what are they made of? In Reutlingen at Bosch I develop the packaging of the sensors and in the talk I will explain how this works. In 2016 I also applied to be the first German female astronaut. In the talk I will answer the questions what a physicist working as an engineer has in common with an astronaut and how the application process looked like.appendix:
