Data driven consulting: topics for today and tomorrow
Abstract:
The past years have seen an unparalleled rise of data-driven techniques both in science and in many areas of our economy. Examples include sophisticated artificial intelligence developed by large tech companies, disruptive innovations by new start-ups, and the transformation of established industrial players from traditional to digitized businesses. This development will continue to shape our everyday lives and the business world in the years to come. It will offer exciting on-demand services as well as market-driven approaches. It will lead to interesting new research and job opportunities for people with a strong quantitative and analytical skill set. In this lecture series, d-fine will give an introduction to selected application areas based on its consulting practise both in finance and in the industrial sector. The lectures will focus on cutting edge mathematical methods and new technologies that build the foundation for innovative and data-driven business cases. They will give examples from the fields of risk and finance, mobility and various applications of machine learning.
