Baryogenesis in the Early Universe

Abstract:

We will review the present evidence for a baryon asymmetry in the Universe, the connection to CP violation and the need for enlarging the Standard Model. We will then discuss various mechanism that have been proposed for generating dynamically the baryon asymmetry in the Early Universe and how it may be possible to falsify them. At the end we will also discuss possible connections to the Dark Matter question and ways to try to explain why the densities of baryons and Dark Matter are of similar order.
